Living in two countries means living in two financial systems. A TFSA and an RRSP here; NRE, NRO and a PPF there. Two banks that never talk to each other, two tax years that don’t line up, and a time difference that makes every question to the family back home a planned phone call.

Every money app we tried was built for one country. The ones that could see both wanted our bank passwords. So we built the tool we wanted: one place for both sides, in rupees or dollars, that keeps your numbers on your own device.

We also make the Duofolios YouTube channel, where we explain the rules that trip people up, from NRE and NRO accounts to the 182-day rule, in plain language. The app and the videos come from the same place: the questions we had when we moved.

What we care about

  • Private by default

Your numbers stay on your device. We built Duofolios so that we never have to be trusted with them.

  • Specific, not generic

NRE and NRO, TFSA and PPF, two tax years and a time difference. Built for the life you actually have.

  • Honest labels

If something isn’t built yet, we say so. Features only move to “in the app” when they’re in the app.

  • Free at the core

Tracking what you own stays free. The one paid option will be cloud sync, for people who want it.
